How we label stories
Readers deserve to know what they are reading. Every press release on KC Metro 24 carries a Press Release label in every listing, at the top of the story and again at its close, together with the name of the company that supplied it.
The company's own words
Press releases are published as received. Claims, figures and descriptions are those of the company. We may trim tracking links, contact blocks and formatting that doesn't belong on a news page.
Headlines from other publishers
Our Kansas City headlines come through Mediastack, a licensed news API we pay for, together with Google News. Every story, including the national headlines on the FOX News desk, takes you straight to the newsroom that reported it. Headlines from other publishers remain their property.
What we won't publish
We don't publish releases that promote stocks, securities or cryptocurrency, make medical claims we can't stand behind, or are misleading, hateful or unlawful.
